In story "the devil and Tom walker in the beginning Tom walker was a man who was poor and his wife was poor and she was also mean. To. Wife always kept stuff away from Tom and that made hi really mad. They stayed in a slump and they wanted to be rich. One day Tom was walking threw the woods in he saw this Indian fort and seen this black man who was the devil. Tom told bla k man he can walk wherever he wanted to the black man said it was his land. Then him and the blackdude started talking. The black dude told him he gone make him rich it got late so Tom went home. When Tom got home he told his wife about it she didn't believe so the next day she went to see the black guy. She tried to get some money from the black guy but the black guy told he no so she went back home mad and talking junk to tom. The next day Tom wife went back then ask devil for money again but she didn't come home that night so Tom got worried and he went looking for her and he found a hear and a her apron. Tom went back to the black guy the black guy gave Tom money and Tom gave people loans and took their loans and he became a rich man. Tom have keep a bible with him all time and he never gave people second chances. The devil kidnapp him and Tom went back to the indian forest
